ULAPI for iOS

ULAPI is used extensively in many successful iOS applications, including the Ultralingua Bookshelf and Ultralingua's separate bilingual dictionaries, Assistiveware's Proloquo2go, and Psychobabble.

There are three ways to incorporate ULAPI into your iOS apps:

  • Use ULAPI REST. This is the simplest approach from a development point of view, but has the downside of requiring your users to have an Internet connection when they use ULAPI-supported features.
  • Use ULAPI C++. Our ULAPI C++ package comes with a detailed iOS sample application and a large collection of console-based samples to illustrate the best techniques for putting ULAPI to work in your apps.
  • If your only requirement of ULAPI is dictionary lookup, we provide a custom view controller that's easy to add to your project, and looks like this:
